From the perspectives of the BHS students

       Bell High School is a great school especially education wise. A lot of people plan on graduating so that’s a really good thing that not many schools have. The teachers are really good especially the advance placement teachers that really do teach and aim to their goal, which is to get a lot of passes on the AP test.  On the contrary, there are some teachers that don’t do their job and the students don’t learn anything from these teachers. I don’t like the fact that there are some teachers that give you homework that you don’t even know how to do it.

     

        Our school is really clean. We have a lot of activities. The sports fields are really good, especially our teams. Most of the time we make it to playoffs and we win CIF champions.  Our high school team sports are always the best in academics because what we really do is try hard in our classes to pass.  The AP students are always studying because they really want to pass the AP exams and are ready to go to college.

                                       The lamest School I’ve ever been to!!

  

    Bell High school is the worst school I’ve ever been to.  The school is not what I have expected; I’ve been to better schools in my life. In my perspective the teachers are not good they don’t teach what is on the HW. The Sports fields are really bad it looks like they are all crumbled up into one space because the baseball field is really small and the track is right next to the baseball field. The sports teams look pretty good but aren’t what they say they are as good.

           

       The food in Bell High school is very horrible. The food doesn’t look good at all!!! Especially the bowl filled with beans they are terrible!! Most of the time when the food doesn’t finish they leave the left overs for the next day. The people in this school aren’t committed to go to school they miss almost everyday. All they do in this school is smoke and ditch school. From what I’ve seen only a little bit of people are committed to their classes and their sports.

       I feel comfortable about the racial ethnicity it is very diverse. But the school is very overrated!!! The people are all talk and no show, except some of the athletes they are really cool to hang out. I would rather stay here because there are some good teachers you just have to pick them correctly and the same goes with people. I especially like the city it is the reason why I’m going to stay!!!

      Bell High School is a great school! I don’t care what anybody says! I’ve really enjoyed my time here. Sure, some of the kids can be annoying as hell, but obnoxious, rude people exist in all places of the world. I’m glad I managed to find a couple of decent, well-mannered people.

       I don’t have a blast at school everyday, but then again, who does? I never have a bad day though. All my teachers are totally qualified to be teaching their subjects and I get along with all of them. I don’t get why people complain saying our teachers suck, but those are just the words of the students that don’t get their work done. Even the administrators are friendly to me.

       I love this school because of the people that I’m involved with. My classmates in my AP courses are smart and efficient, yet fun as well. I love being part of various teams and clubs. I bond with the cross-country runners in fall, and the swimmers and tracklethes in the spring. Some of my closest friends double as my teammates.

            Overall, Bell is a great school. There are various clubs, and AP courses that all students can involve themselves in. If there isn’t something that interests you, you can go ahead and start your own club, it’s pretty awesome if you ask me. The school is pretty clean and all. I hate when people tag it up though, some kids are just so stupid and have absolutely no life. I don’t mind when people spray paint some good art though. If it were up to me, I’d reserve spaces for artistic collaborations of murals and then the school would look really cool and cultural. Bell has really been progressing throughout my high school life, and I’m really happy to be a student here.

Lame Ass Bell High

Bell High is a crappy ass school. It’s so whack ass hell, I hate coming here everyday. I have to wake up early, like at freaking 6:30 am. My mom yells at me every morning. I get here late about twice a week. Sometime more. I hate my teachers. I swear, they don’t know squat. They’re just up there talking and talking about useless crap that I’m never going to need. I just ask to go to the bathroom or something and I walk around for a while until on of the deans catches me. God I hate them even more. They’re always on my case about EVERYTHING. The only thing I love about Bell is that dismissal bell. Sometimes I go home, but I like to kick it with my homies for a while. Damn I feel so good when I blaze out. I never get caught.  When I get home, I never do my homework, I just chill. Watch tv or something. Bell is not one of my interests at all. It’s horrible. Even the food. Oh God, the food. Its basically vomit. If you want to learn I guess, don’t go to Bell. 

My Neighborhood

                                                       My Neighborhood

     My neighborhood is in the city of Cudahy. I live near the freeway so every time there is a car accident you can hear all of the helicopter and the police sirens with their annoying sirens and searchlights. But you can’t really hear the accident itself. Like when the trucks honk and what not.

     I also live near the bridge. You cross the street and you’re literally on the bridge. There’s always those random gang members and strangers that get hurt or even killed. It doesn’t happen very often but it has happened before. My neighborhood isn’t that bad though.

     All of my neighbors are really nice. I love how my family and all of our neighbors are super close with each other. It’s cute. Every time one of them has a party they invite everyone. And when I say everyone, I mean everyone. It’s like one big happy family. All the neighbors have 8 little kids in total, including my brother and sister.  The oldest one is probably 10. It can get a bit noisy sometimes with all the little kids running all over the place acting like wild monkeys.

     I was driving by Cudahy when all of a sudden I saw a house for rent. My husband and I have been looking for a new house. We went in to check it out and there was little kids playing around. It was so joyful!  We decided that we would buy the house. All of the neighbors came to introduce themselves; I thought it was a kind gesture. Everyone was so polite. One thing I didn’t lie was all the police roaming around. But I guess that’s just for safety reasons. Thee freeway and bridge are extremely close by so it feels kind of weird. The neighborhood is so spacious and peaceful but I did notice it could get a bit noisy with all the little kids running around.

   The Body Sprays at Victoria Secret have the nicest smell. They have all kinds of smells. Some of them are sweet and others aren’t that sweet. Sometimes they are specials for example, take 3 or 4 body sprays for 30 bucks. They aren’t expensive! Anybody can afford them. Victoria Secret carries different kinds of body sprays for different type of girls. They even have them in small sizes, like you can take 5 of the small ones that come in a little bag for an affordable

 price.

   For example there is a body spray called “Love Spell” I recommend to buy that ne it smells really nice, it smells really sweet. Another one called “Pure Seduction”. Most of the body sprays have really interesting names. Some other names are “My Desire”, “Endless Love”, “Vanilla Lace” and “Amber Romance”. Victoria Secret is the store to go if you want to smell really good.

   Some people do agree with me for example on this website totalbueaty.com “You have to love this spray, not only does it smell great, but comes in so many different scents there's one for everyone. I love Strawberries and Champagne and it really does smell like to two combined, so maybe that's not a good thing but I love it ;). You get a good deal of spray for your money and it lasts just as long as more expensive body sprays. The scent lasts all day and I get told how good I smell at least once a day if not more”. (Bon_Bon)  

   Some people don’t agree with me for example Jasmine on amazon.com  “I get it in the mail late for one for two it is not the product that’s shown. it seems to be an imitation version of the actually product shown” (Jasmine).  I don’t agree with her I think she should go to the store instead of buying it online.

My Attitude and Behavior During C.S.T.

     My attitude during the C.S.T. testing is not the best because I get really upset sometimes when I don’t understand some parts of the test. I just feel like giving up and I don’t give it my all. Sometimes I don’t even bother reading directions, questions, or even the passages. There are some pretty hard questions I can actually get right but I don’t put any effort.

     My percentage that I give during the CST’s is about 75% but I want it to move up to about 90% or 95% percent. I have to stop being so upset about not getting the test and not give up. Sometimes I get really distracted too. The people around me distract or I distract my self while doing the test. When I get distracted it’s really hard to focus back again on the test.

     I don’t feel any good about giving 75% because I should be giving my 100% on it so I can pass with an advance at least. This year I’m going to try very hard to pass the test. It will be my last year taking it so I’m going to try and pass it with at least proficient. So I could feel better than I did when I knew I had a low score in the CST’s.

     This time I’m going to read the directions and passages right so I can know the answers for the questions. I won’t have to guess in almost all of them. I’ll probably get a better score if I read carefully and stay focus on the test. I hope nest time I take and look at my score I’ll be proud of it.

My Attitude and Behavior During C.S.Ts

     I was as confident as ever. I had a feeling I was going to pass it with it with a good grade.  I thought it was going to be like every other year, really easy. But as I started it I realized it wasn’t as easy anymore. I hate the fact that I went in with a positive attitude and came out disappointed. As the test went on I got to admit I was not caring about it as much as I did in the beginning.

     I put in like 60% into the test out of 100%. It was probably because there were distractions and I get easily distracted. That as always had been a major problem for me. Later I recognized I should have put more effort into it. I truly regret not doing it.

     I didn’t put all my effort in the testing because I thought it wasn’t going to matter as much as it did. I kind just blew the thing of. If I would have know it was going to be a big part of my academics I would have gave it 100%. I also didn’t give it my all mostly because I got distracted a lot.

     Truth is I’m not very proud of myself. I wish I could have put more effort on it than the effort I put in it. The main reason why I feel bad is because I’m sure it looks bad academically. If I would have know it was going to affect me like that I would have put all my effort into it and that I would have tried my best not to get distracted.

     Next time I’m going to concentrate very much, because I’ve found out with a bad consequence, that the tests do count.  I regret the fact that I didn’t give it my all. I should have put all my effort on it, the fact that I didn’t take it serious makes me feel bad.

Double voicing about Bell High School

       Bell High school sucks, I mean theirs many people that say, “Bell is the best school” but seriously Bell is going broke we don’t have money for field trips and the sport teams barely have money for their own uniforms. Bell it’s an ugly old place with teachers that don’t even know how to teach.  Instead of teaching they just sit down in their chairs and stare at their computer doing I don’t know what, probably just chatting with someone, or other teachers just stand in front of the class talking and the students are just asleep, chatting, giggling, hearing music, texting, and the teachers don’t do anything about it.

Elizabeth’s point of view

       Being new student in Bell High School is the worst thing ever. Students don’t even talk to you they just stare at you without saying anything. The teachers don’t even know how to teach, when they are talking in front of the class is like they are talking to the walls because the students are doing their own stuff.  And don’t get me started with the food; Bell H.S has the nastiest food in the world. I think the cafeteria ladies make experiments with the food. I just look at the food and it makes me sick. But the food is not the worst things in Bell H.S; the restrooms are the dirtiest place in school. They stink and it seems like there’s no one to work for cleaning the restrooms.
