Staff Using
Cell Phones at Bell High
Despite
the fact that there is no policy that states that staff should not be using
cell phones at Bell High, it is still not the correct thing to do. Staff,
should be the ones to set the example, if they want students to respect the
fact that they may not use phones during school hours. Some staff that are required
to be supervising, at times appear to be more concentrated on their phones than
on making sure that everything is stable around them. When students are planning, to become involved in some activity
that is unacceptable, what they seem to look for is distraction, so if staff is
always distracted, using technology, there is a higher chance that more
disorder will take place in the campus.
Students
react negatively towards the enforcement of staff in students not using cell
phones because they do not receive the same example from staff. Without cell
phones students would be more dedicated and focused toward their academic
coursework because an electronic device would not distract their minds. It is
very important to keep in mind, that the less electronic devices are used, the
more our minds are capable of absorbing information transmitted towards our
minds. There will be no chance in the amount of students that use their cell
phones during school hours, until the people enforcing these laws make a change
on themselves.
