The stories that my dad told me was that he was a really good soccer player that it was hard to mark him because he was really quick when he get mark by a older guy they will be talking shit to him but dad will start laughing and when my dad got the ball the guy that marked him lost track of my dad and when he turn around he was already in front of him and he couldn’t stop because every time my dad had the ball it will be a goal. The other story that I heard was when he will be practicing for soccer that they will be practicing in the hot sun one of their workouts was that they had to carry somebody on their backs going up and down the bleachers and then after they will touch the ball but when the practice was over they will leave with bruises and cuts on their legs or body because the field was just dirt and rocks. He also told me he had the chance to go professional but he didn’t go because he want to make a better life for himself so he came to the united states to make a better life himself. The united didn’t recognized Guatemala as political refuges. Some of the of Guatemalan people will migrant to Canada to make their life. “Despite the threat of deportation, the difficulty of the trip to the Untied states, and problems here as undocumented persons, Guatemalans have continued to arrive in the Untied States are one if the fastest growing American immigrant groups.” This quote explains that people from Guatemala are not scared to come to the Untied States because they’re not afraid to get deported or how hard the trip to the untied states is and they don’t care if they don’t have documents they just want to come the Untied States to make a better life of themselves.
