Are Immigrants Really Breaking the Law by Looking for a Better Life?

Christopher Velasquez
Period 2

How would I respond to people who say immigrants do not deserve a path to citizenship because they are breaking the law by coming here and staying here?
I would be angry but I know that won’t help. I would go to a city meeting and convince the people that processing this law is cruel  to immigrants. Everyone deserve the right to. If the counsel members and the senators had any relatives that are immigrants would have something to relate to. Those immigrants left behind had just to come for a better opportunity in the U.S  If they want to get rid of illegal people then why are they working in picking cotton fields and other sorts that of fruit packing job that has a no decent pay and no health care benefits because. They could get a monkey to do it but that’s also against the law because that would be animal cruelty. No other Americans would do those certain jobs because they are considered slave work. When they use Americans they still complain when the economy is bad. You don’t see any Americans working in the factory, fields or Mickey D’s; they are concerned in putting them in offices. They take our jobs. They have the second highest crime rate in the U.S. Big companies hire them on as slaves to work cheap while hard working Americans that have built this country sit unemployed at home.
Many government officials think Mexico is full of poverty and if you allow them to all come here, that's what our country will turn into. They are wrong if government thinks they have enough land to build new places to live and make more jobs. For example, if a city is adding more lanes in the highways wouldn’t that require more workers? Knocking old houses to rebuild more modern and stable ones, wouldn’t that require more workers? And fixing the pot holes in the city of Los Angeles, wouldn’t that require more workers? The U.S has lots of ways to solve this economic problem. It's just that they are to scared to deal with it and to waste money out of  their pockets to employ others.
