The De-evolution of Society

Society
These days, society is ugly. When you’re walking through the halls at school and someone bumps into you they don’t apologize, they cuss at you and call you every single bad word in the dictionary. Why do people do that? Society is crazy. No one respects each other because they think they’re better than everyone else. You walk around the streets and people are looking you up and down already talking shit and judging you before they even meet you. Teenage girls talk shit about each other because they feel insecure. Teenage boys and girls do drugs thinking it’s cool when in reality it’s not. They’re messing up their present and their future.
Today’s generation seems lost when it comes to valuing respect. They have lost respect for themselves and each other. Teenagers don’t respect their elders. Parents don't trust their teenage kid because they’re always lying to them.  They only go to school to hang out with their friends. They don’t pay attention in class and talk back to their teachers. I’m disappointed in today’s generation and society.  But you know, who wouldn’t be disappointed. “It doesn’t matter what everyone else thinks it's YOU who matters not anyone else. If you fail at least you know, you wont spend your life regretting your decision because you were to afraid” (Alliea). I agree with this quote because it speaks the truth. It’s your life and you shouldn’t care about what anyone else says.
I didn’t find any quotes that didn’t agree with me because it seems that a lot of people agree with the fact that our society and generation is messed up. “Compared to when I was growing up, I think that in some ways my daughter’s generation is more unaware of what’s going on the world” (Hellen Minev). I agree with this because it seems like most teenagers don’t know what’s going on around the world because they only care about themselves.
